Dr. V. Panneer Selvam, the man behind Arasan Eye Hospital had his foundation laid at the Aravind Eye Hospital Madurai, starting as a Junior Medical Officer. He has conducted a number of work shops and seminars in state and national Level Conferences on cataract surgery for the past 10 years. Dr. Selvam has also done pioneering work in implanting IOL’s for Leprosy Patients.

He is driven by a passion to provide eye care at an affordable cost to poor or needy rural population. Through Arasan Eye Hospital, he hopes to eradicate curable blindness in the Southern State of Tamil Nadu and to train the ophthalmologist in skilled special surgical Techniques at an affordable cost.

Dr. Panneer Selvam is assisted by an able team of specialists.
